Introduction

Snowdrop is tucked away off the historic High Street in Blakeney, nestled in the grounds of Blakeney House, a Victorian manor house in the heart of the village.

Perfect for coastal living with on the doorstep, shops, restaurants and cafes, a delicatessen and galleries galore.

From the quay at the bottom of the historic High Street you can try a spot of crabbing, catch a boat to Blakeney Point to see the seals or walk the coastal path in either direction and take in the fantastic birdlife and scenic coastal views.

Snowdrop is a lovely place to retreat to after a day outside enjoying the fresh Norfolk sea air and will appeal to a couple, friends, families and the much-loved family dog too!

Inside

Snowdrop Cottage is a charming two-bedroom cottage with a delightfully pretty garden.

Through the entrance door you arrive in the hallway; decorated with wallpaper featuring engravings of British birds.   The hall has practical coat storage and a bench for boots and shoes. There is a downstairs wc and hand basin.

In the lounge the two large sofas are arranged to take full advantage of the garden views.   A traditional low library chair, in rich plaid wool offers relaxation. There is an ivory wood-burning stove with glass door for the autumn and winter months.

The French doors open onto a paved terrace with lavender, rose borders and clipped bay trees.

Outside

Snowdrop Cottage in Blakeney, is approached over a shared driveway from the High Street. To the front of the cottage is a low fence and picket gate.

The French doors from the lounge lead to the paved terrace with lavender and rose borders, steps lead down to a paved and shingle area with a garden gate opening onto a footpath and the designated parking area for two vehicles.

A pedestrian gate in this area opens onto Little Lane which leads to the High Street.

The rear garden faces west and is enclosed by brick and flint walls, willow fencing and beyond are the attractive gardens of Blakeney House.

With an outdoor sofa, two lounging chairs as well as a dining table and chairs with parasol the garden area is perfect for relaxing.

Pets

Dogs welcome, a maximum of two. Please strictly no dogs on the furniture or upstairs. There is an additional charge of £40 per dog.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

A two-bedroom cottage with the bedrooms located upstairs. A staircase from the lounge continues to the upstairs landing The king-sized bedroom radiates romance, its decoration taking emphasis from Kate Forman’s blue roses range, with complementary velvet cushions and a large silk bed throw. Cream bedside table lamps, antique brass wall lights and two windows overlooking the delightful Blakeney House gardens give the bedroom a lovely peaceful feel. The bedroom situated to the front of the cottage has a king size bed that can be ‘unzipped’ to make two single beds.

Both bedrooms share the fully tiled white shower room which has a walk-in rain shower, w.c. and hand basin, towel rail and storage for toiletries.

Practicalities

In the attractive, fitted cream kitchen, you will find a Rangemaster stainless steel range cooker with double oven, hob and extractor, a standalone large Smeg fridge, freezer, microwave and integrated dishwasher. The kitchen has a Dualit kettle and toaster and a Kitchen Aid Nespresso coffee machine, please bring your own pods. The cupboards are well stocked with Emma Bridgewater handmade pottery, glassware and ample saucepans. The farmhouse dining table and chairs seat four. The washing machine is housed in the entrance hallway.

Indoor entertainment is provided with a 43” Smart TV with Free Sat and a dvd blue ray player. You can also enjoy the CD library, as well as film dvd’s.

Bedrooms have hairdryers in each.
